“A New Hope”
I have found a new hope

Another reason to trust

In my pain and fright, I can hope anew

So despair has taken its leave



I was lost and lonely

I spent hours in myself pondering

I felt the weight of pain on my shoulders

All night long , I cried



I used my hands and feet to fight

Hard I fought, to be loved and accepted

But they all failed me

Once more, I thought I saw the end



People criticized everything in me

My way of talking, walking, eating, and more

Friends left me and turned their backs on me

Yes, I have known isolation



I have known moments when I life is stagnant

But I met a man who told me to trust

“Just ask and trust, it shall be urs”

And I believed Him, because I had nothing else to do



Today, I can tell u

There is life in trusting

There is life in hoping, and

There is life in waiting on The Lord

There is nothing more rewarding than waiting on our Father

Like a child waits on his Dad.
